So... I need advice on Copic markers! I want to maybe do a few sketch colours at the upcoming conventions this year, and for that I need real physical colouring devices... commonly known as pens (never heard of 'pens' before!!) :P

Anyone out there got any real advice on what version to get? What pack is a decent starter set? How do they perform? What are the pitfalls and traps to avoid, and how best to go about using them? Anything would be appreciated. I don't wanna spend a ton of money on them, but I imagine it might be worth me investing in something for the future. If there are other markers that are cbheaper but perform just as well, then great... let me know! :D

Oh, and just got out of the cinema after seeing 'Chronicle', which, as many haters as there may be, was great! Really enjoyed it... nothing groundbreaking, but this is the super-powered genre, its hard to be groundbreaking and make money at the same time with such fickle audiences, you have to play it safe to a degree. I'll be buying the dvd when it drops easily :D

Don't get a set my friend. Half the colors you won't use. Go with the duller tones first, otherwise they turn out WAY to saturated and bright. Greys are a good place to start, Warm or Cool before Neutral. Purples are Awesome for shading. If you want I will send you a color chart of my Copics and which ones I use most.

I hope this helps my friend. Good Luck.:)
