Once again, I've left dA for so long, I;ve forgotten what its like. I do check in from time to time, but I haven't been active in ages... too busy, with work, life and all that jazz!
But, I made a small recording of a warm up from the other night, and edited it down to a managable watching time. You can take a look here...

So, I tried to get up to date with my comments today and last night... what a joyous idea! Having over 800 comments to reply to seemed like a totally do-able idea at 1am, what a fool I was. I got about 60 in, and just had to admit it was gonna be a long slog, filled with seemingly insincere copy and pastes of the word 'Thank you!' towards the end.
So I 'll just go all in right now, save the world valuable 2099 seconds (haha, yeah right), and say a massive thanks to everyone who's viewed/commented/followed me of late. I do really appreciate all the support, especially right now (sleepy, post-baby slump in my work). Its good to see the community is still so active. Lots of new faces, but still the old members haunting the place, which is why I love this site!

Bloody Hell!!

Its been a while eh, haha! Seems pretty standard from me of late, sorry about that. I have been working, pretty hard, on a few projects. An Image book called 'Ringside', written by Joe Keatinge (Shutter), with art by Nick Barber 
, and myself on colours. Its totally different from what I've done before, less rendering and more experimenting. Fast work, and very rewarding. Nicks lines are great, and he tells a neat little story with his panels. Its the most fun i've had in a long time to be honest.
The first issue is out now at local stores, and on comixology.
We had a preview slot in The Walking Dead #147 (I think its 147!), which was pretty cool. I'll post up some of the pages from that and some from the first issue too.
Another project in the works is The Unthinkables, with Ian Richardson
on art duties, and Paul Hanley 
knocking out a brutal story... not for kids!
Also did artwork for a recent Firefly board game, along with Paul Hanley again. Shots of that to come.
Worked up the colours on a variant cover for Judge Dredd #1 from IDW, again, with Paul Hanley (Bro-manced up I guess haha!)
Anyway, more stuff than all that too, ghosted some Batman and other books. Covers for TMNT out soon!

Most miserable 2 months of my life!!
Confirmed!
Tooth ache, relentlessly took me down. Allergic to everything except Paracetamol, which is total balls in all reality and now i'm sure my liver is dead!
Had to find a dentist, had to go full private and on a long wait. Had a double root canal, which uncovered an abscess, all without anesthetic, which I'm also allergic too (awesome isn't it?!). I originally went in to have a small filling... go figure! Then, a tooth on the other side which I cracked from a skating injury (face+handrail) needed to be extracted, and now has dry socket, which is a nightmare for pain!
Oh, and I have a proper dental phobia, as in they dosed me to hell and back on Diazepam to calm me down over a several nights, and that didn't make working very easy as I was basically pissed!
Dentistry is now all done pretty much, well, the worst of it. Going back in 2 weeks, see how the extraction healed and how to proceed after the root canals (might lose another tooth if there's still an infection!). I did find a great dentist though, hardly any pain, and my phobia is lessened with this guy... still, a shit ton of cash was spent, work was lost, pain was had, sleep was lost, much stress was caused.
And my teeth all looked fine before this, well, as fine as slightly wonky english teeth can look. Getting old I guess, can't save em forever, not with all the sweets!

Hey you guys!
Been a while eh? I'm still up and running, breathing and stuff, just had a hellish 10 months or so. Moved house, and that is slowly starting to take shape now (hard to find time to do up a house when you are both parents holding down full time work, and in my case, a part time job as well). After the move I lost my part time job, which was local, so had to happen. But having a part time job is a must for me, gets me out of the house, a bit of reliable money and so forth... had to go out and get another asap! I did get one, but the 4am starts really screwed my work flow from home, you know how it is, as an arty person, we're prone to staying up late and working while the world and all its distractions are asleep. Slowly turning that all around now with some newer work schedules.
Work has been busy, plenty on my plate considering my limited time, but I took far too much on for a while. As of last night, I finally broke through the last chunk of my commissions, and feel so much better for it. I decided not to take much on before that was all out of the way, I was letting too many people down with lateness, which I hated, but I couldn't help it either!
I'll be posting a shit ton of stuff over the coming weeks, and a few journal entries to go alongside them, detailing what I've been working on and so forth, so look out for that
