I will always be a massive fan of Finch's work, so when I saw this amazing Daredevil... well, you know the rest! I'm a bit scared of handling Finch's lines as they are imho superb and I dont wanna crap on them, so I put extra effort in this time, concentrating on giving the image that pop it needs to get noticed (i'm always a bit lacklustre with contrast I think). I dont know if it works that well, let me know
Pencils by Dave Finch (no DA account that I know of), and the ever solid inks of Ernest Jocson ([link])... check out his gallery for more great inks
Really, really loving the values in that red. It's nice to see traditional looking comics colours that aren't too soft or too loud, in terms of how visible the cuts are.
Again, loving this one. Ironically, I thought it was a Quesada/Isanove collaboration before I enlarged it. Are you a fan of his work as well? The colour scheme hints at that.
Richard Isanove, the colourist/digital painter of pretty much the entire Ultimate Universe? His colouring work in the late 90s is my favourite colouring in all of comics creation. He had a pretty good run colouring the X-men, but I suppose Liquid! stole the spotlight from him, back them.
Ooo, vaguely remembering the work he's done (only read a few Ultimate titles, not my bag, hardcore OG Universe fan hehe). I do rememeber it being pretty nice stuff. I've never been one for checking out the artists, i'm all about the story so I miss those things out by accident in my rush to read the latest stack lol
